Let’s just say, we can do in a few days what others do in a few weeks.
“Hey what's your budget?” The quintessential question and the follow-up to “How much is it?"
The thing is, every project is different - sure it’s a website, but the effort, expertise and sarcastic attitude we have built over the years doesn’t come at a happy meal price . We typically tend to do some of whats become our favorite work when compensation is realistic.
It’s always best to go back to the old story about Picasso:
Picasso is walking down street, when he is abruptly stopped by a middle-aged, well put together woman who is a big fan of his. "Oh Picasso will you please, please paint me. You do such great work, I would love it so much.” Asks the woman while she’s begging and holding paintbrushes and a canvas. Then Picasso, humbly says: “Sure”.
Picasso proceeds to paint the woman in a matter of no more than 5 minutes. This painting of the woman, done within 5 minutes is absolutely exquisite - the shading, the effortless brush strokes, it’s so realistic and has every nuance the woman wanted.
Picasso then again, humbly speaks up “That will be $49,000.”
“49,000 dollars…that took you 5 minutes?” The woman unapologetically blurts out.
Picasso with humility and ounce of moxy replies, "Yes miss it did take me 5 minutes to paint you. It took me twenty years to be able to paint you in 5 minutes."
MORAL OF THE STORY: Although we move fast, we’ve been honing the craft for a long time.
